Destination Camden
Camden County….a diverse
community of great natural beauty with a “small town” feel, robust
infrastructure for growth at an affordable cost, premier educational and
health systems, abundance of job opportunities, and a cooperative sense
of community vision. “A place people want to call home.”
The purpose of the Organization
is to orchestrate community support for Camden County and to:
- Promote Community,
government and private industry partnerships;
- Keep key government and
community leaders at the local, state, and federal level informed of
The Partnership’s endeavors and the issues facing Camden County.
Camden’s leadership has
determined that the following issues are critical to their community and
its economic development efforts:
- Develop a plan for quality
growth
- Further Improve education,
e-opportunities
- Evaluate opportunities for
consolidation of services
- Improve leadership, unity
and communication
- Review health care needs
and solutions
- Improve transportation
- Evaluate opportunities for
a large industrial “mega” site
- Increase tourism revenues
- Expand the tax base
- Improve recreation
- Complete plans to host a
statewide developers day (Marketing)
Destination Camden meets on the
last Tuesday of the month at 3:00 p.m. in the County Annex on Gross Road
next to the Camden County Library.
