Resolution to St. Marys Mayor and City Council Members FACT: If we can’t move the airport without cost to our city and maintaining control of the property, then the airport doesn’t move! Opportunity rarely knocks twice….There is so much to gain! Below is the resolution: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ST. MARYS that the Mayor, Mayor Pro Tem, and City Manager of the City of St. Marys are authorized and directed to diligently pursue the relocation of the airport located in the City as recommended by the City's consulting firm in the 2005 Airport Feasibility Study and the 2007 Environmental Assessment for the Replacement St. Marys Airport, and as approved by the Federal Aviation Agency in its Finding of No Significant Impact dated March 27, 2007, provided such relocation can be accomplished without cost to the City and provided the City shall retain full ownership and control of the property upon which the airport is currently located. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that such officials shall make use of all available assistance in the pursuit of such relocation, and shall make regular reports to this body on the progress made.
